Information for young people who wish to attend our holidays, and for their parents and friends
A residential holiday based in Oundle for children and young people aged 8 -18 years old. The holiday runs for a week, usually from the last Saturday in July. For more general information about the week please look at our Summer Holiday page.
On the week
When children are brought to the holiday they will be met by a member of the senior team and their bedtime helper (the volunteer that will share a room with them overnight throughout the week). Parents will then be asked to sign in any medication. Tea and coffee are available and we are happy for parents to stay to see their child settled in or take the opportunity to meet with members of the senior team.
We have an extremely experienced team of senior staff, many of whom have been helping to run the holiday for well over a decade. Junior volunteers are paired with the children, so each visiting child shares a room every night with the same person. During the daytime, children are in small groups and we can arrange for your son or daughter to be in a group with a particular friend if you wish. On each day, a group of four children spends times with a different group of five volunteers. There is constant one-on-one support for every child. Junior volunteers are overseen by experienced group leaders and the senior team is always on hand to offer extra help if necessary. We also have both a professional nurse and a doctor who attend the holiday week.
